And I'm back to gaming! With the quarantine protocol some of us has been experiencing (and also with the shortened working hours I've had these days), I just can't help myself in finding a relaxing game to play in the wee hours at home. So here's what I got:
I'm guessing that most of us is familiar with this game and with Austin the Butler, and in Homescapes, he goes on a vacation to visit his family
First (and Second) Achievement! |
When Austin arrives, he finds that the interiors are mostly all in ruin, and that his parents plan to sell their estate. But since Austin doesn't agree with their plans, he starts transforming the place to win them over. Starting with the Living Room (and his old Bedroom), we now head off to the Kitchen:
At this point, Austin starts to win over his mom by having renovated their Kitchen, this also results in her starring in a cooking show! (P.S. They also now have a Jam Cellar)
Moving on, we also got to renovate the old Greenhouse with the help of Austin's childhood friend
2nd Floor Unlocked! |
Unlocking the second floor moves the story to Austin and his dad wanting to plan the perfect birthday party for his mom. And if you're starting to think it's all about his mom at this point, well we finally get to winning over his dad by having the Garage renovated!
We also got the fix that old car... |
Austin later receives a letter which prompts him to renovate the Library, wherein they also discover a hidden room that they turned into a Theater.
And if you think that's the only part of the house that needs fixing, well Austin now needs to fix the Guesthouse 'cuz his friend, Robbie, is coming for a visit.
Though mostly they set up this boat to participate in some contest or something... |
All that renovating finally caught up with Austin, leading to him experiencing nightmares. This leads us to make a Recreation Room:
Fixing it leads to us having a yacht, and if you're thinking that's where the game ends well... Let's just say Austin actually decided to buy the house across the lake so...
More on the Lakehouse in my next post! |
